1/2 cup melted butter
2/3 cup black cocoa
4 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Let's Get Started
Melt the butter in a medium bowl.
Add the cocoa and stir until smooth and well combined.
Alternately add the powdered sugar and milk, beating well after each addition, until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
Stir in the vanilla.
If needed, add a little more milk, one teaspoon at a time, until the frosting reaches your desired consistency.
Grab A Mug
I love a flexible recipe! And this one adapts very well! Try it with Dutch cocoa for a different texture. Load it into a piping bag alone, or next to peanut butter frosting or a sweet buttercream. It blends well with so many things!
For the record, I tend to double the recipe when making a Bundt cake!
